We set out to build a veterinary utopia.

Lizzie and Alice, two experienced vets, dreamed of building their own practice, a veterinary utopia. Technology was the worry. We helped them choose the right systems, keep it straightforward, and put it all on one cloud-based platform, phones included.

01 · THE CHALLENGEWhat the practice was facing.

Lizzie Threadingham and Alice Martin are both experienced vets. For a while, as they put it, they had been gossiping about having their own practice and building a sort of veterinary utopia. Eventually they decided to have a go.

Technology was the part that worried them. They did not know what technology they needed, only that it had to be easy, work for them, and make the practice do what they wanted it to do. Veterinary teams rely on their systems enormously, and too often those systems simply do not work.

They did not want to be buried in technology either, they wanted it kept straightforward. What they were really after was someone they could trust with the whole question, who could put in the things they did not even know existed and show them the benefit.

WHAT WE DID · ACROSS THE PRACTICE

5 places. 5 fixes.

The practice is a connected system, every fix had to land without disrupting clinical hours. Each card below is one part of the engagement.

00

Made the technology feel manageable.

Lizzie and Alice met Jack at a conference. Where the technology had felt like a massive worry, he made it sound like something they could actually cope with, keeping the focus on what they wanted the practice to do.

01

Advised on the right practice system.

We guided them on which practice management system would suit the practice they wanted to build, rather than leaving them to work it out under pressure.

02

Joined up the integrations that matter.

Insurance, labs, diagnostics and digital consent forms: the integrations a practice actually needs, considered and connected so everything works efficiently from the start.

03

Everything on one cloud system, phones included.

Rather than a stack of separate tools, the whole practice runs on a single cloud-based platform, right down to the telephones.

04

Straightforward, not overwhelming.

We kept it deliberately simple, no more technology than the practice needs, while still showing them the benefit of the things they did not know were possible.

I didn't know what technology we needed, only that it had to be easy and to work for us. Jack made it sound like something I could actually cope with.
